Media Training Programme
The Welsh Electronics Forum is delighted to be able to offer professional media training to invited senior industrialists within the software, semiconductor and electronics communities in Wales.
The emphasis is on learning through experience. By taking real-life or near real-life scenarios, a number of different interview situations are created. These intensive half-day courses for very small groups include television, radio and newspaper interviews. The objectives of the training are:
- to enable you to face the media with confidence
- to demystify the methods and processes used by the media
- to develop an awareness of the needs of the media
- to develop an awareness of sensitive topics and awkward questions and enable you to deal with them.
There are enormous benefits to both you and your company in having a confident spokes person. The industry will benefit enormously too by having a growing pool of professionally trained industrialists who are comfortable to speak on behalf of their companies, the Forum and the industry. You will be encouraged to take every opportunity for on-going comment to the media on Forum, industry or company issues. This will result in more press coverage of the sector in Wales and a greater awareness of how vibrant, confident and progressive we are.
The Forum asks that you make yourself available as a spokes person for the sector for a period of two years and to work with the Forum to initiate feature/articles topics of interest to you. The Forum will seek publication for these articles and will feature them on this website. Please note that invitations to participate are at the discretion of the Welsh Electronic Forum For further information, contact us at enquiries@welsh-electronics.com or telephone 01792-222475
